Victoria Leonard-Blakley
Ms. Leonard started classical ballet training in the Cecchetti Method at age 6 with her mother Margaret Olson. She has performed and taught ballet in the United States and Mexico, and was an ambassador of dance to Russia. Her teaching experience spans 35 years and includes instruction at private academies, junior colleges and universities. Victoria’s introduction to the Pilates method was through Diane Diefenderfer in 1986. She continued her studies with Real Isacowitz at Body Arts and Sciences and received her secondary certification in 2005. Her studies of the GYROTONIC Method began in 2002 and she is a certified level 2 pre-trainer. Victoria Leonard is a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, the Pilates Method Alliance, and the Performing Arts Medicine Association. She continues her education through in-person and virtual workshops throughout the year and enjoys teaching dance conditioning classes at the ABT William Gillespie School in Costa Mesa, CA.
